About This Quote

In the Harry Potter series, Harry is a wizard. In his first year at Hogwarts, Harry’s friend Ron is attacked by a monster. Harry saves his life and accidentally uses a spell to kill the monster. As a result, he gets expelled from Hogwarts.

In order to get back into school, Harry must prove that he can use magic without being reckless with it. To do this, he must practice using the spell again and again until he gets it right. He is told that for each time he uses the spell, he will get smarter at it.

When faced with a task that is exceedingly difficult or perhaps fraught with danger, we often must push past our limits in order to move forward. In this case, Harry must push beyond his limits in order to prove that he can use magic without hurting people.
